peculiar smelllate breakfast
The room had a peculiar smell, rather like old socks. i mentioned it to the front desk, but nothing changed. also, the breakfast started too late. 8 Am is hardly convenient for anyone with an early start, especially when one is trying to avoid actual work. one might think they could manage an earlier time. at least the tube station was close.

The breakfast menu had diverse options for both drinks and meals. Reaching the place was straightforward, and I could leave my luggage for the day before accessing my room. This service was quite helpful as I wanted to explore the area without carrying my bags.
The mirror in the room needed cleaning. I had to do it myself. There was no hand towel provided in the bathroom. This.

The breakfast offered many options. I had a VERY good night's sleep because the bed was super comfy. The staff were accommodating and friendly. They let us leave our luggage before check-in. Live music played in the evening. It topped off a great weekend.
The room was warm. A small fan was provided, but it did NOT work great. The room had a damp smell, especially noticeable in the bathroom, even with the window open.
